Yeah, I know this is yet another among too many posts about this proposed mission that Microsoft has for buying Yahoo but I just had to toss my 2 cents worth out there. Even though I’m a big supporter of open source software I do understand many folk’s desire to continue using proprietary software either due to their job or they’re just too tied to Windows to try something else.
First, I think it would be a terrible mistake to allow Microsoft to buy Yahoo as it would obviously give them an unfair advantage over any and all competition. We all know how Microsoft loves to buy the competition instead of attempting to create anything new and worthy. Besides, just think of how the new name would look and sound. Microhoo? Yasoft? No Way!

I don’t want MS to buy Yahoo either. I don’t want anyone to buy Yahoo. Why can’t Yahoo just stay.. Yahoo??

There’s been a storm of controversy surrounding this sudden offer from Microsoft and Google as well as other prominent companies are real interested in the outcome. There may be other suitors in the wings that might toss an offer Yahoo’s way. I keep reading that Yahoo would really like for someone else to show an interest. Me too!
