To properly tell this story we need to go back just a little bit to around a month ago when Charter decided our package was no longer in effect. Without telling us of course.

We’d had cable TV and high speed internet with Charter for quite some time. Matter of fact, we’ve been with Charter for close to 20 years give or take. The name has changed over the years but cable is cable none the less.

It certainly has progressed over time with all sorts of unique enhancements that have entertained folks in their living rooms all across the country. From Basic stations to HBO and beyond, we have been offered numerous choices for our viewing pleasure. (more…)

Something For Everyone

Written by ScottW on May 10th, 2007 | Filed under: Online Web Apps

While I was hitting my favorite sites/blogs/forums during my ever decreasing downtime, I came across a post over on Lunartics by Mitch Keeler about this great new site called Tlbox. It has loads of great information for the programmer or web designer in each of us.

Here’s a brief summary of what to expect:

For programmers:

.net, ajax, c, c#, c++, coldfusion, flash, java, javascript, perl, php, python, ruby, sql, and xml

For designers:

color, css, fonts, html, icons, images, inspiration, tutorials, and widgets

The nice thing about this is that if you register (free) on the site, you can save as many different “boxes” as you want for as long as you want. A non-registered user would only be able to save theirs for 30 days.

From what I’ve been reading so far, there’s plenty to help out both the pros and the weekend keyboarders out there. Give it a try and see if you don’t wind up bookmarking it too.

BTW, thanks for the tip Mitch! ;)
